  • Am I guaranteed a spot if I was a Youth Futures 2020 participant?

    Yes, you are. Please complete the regular registration online and indicate that you were a participant in the 2020 cohort.

  • How do I register to be a part of Youth Futures?

    Go here and fill out an application form. Visit our Requirements page to see if you qualify to participate.

  • Can Youth Futures help me get my mandatory volunteer hours for school?

    Yes! Our staff can help find a volunteer position for you so that you can achieve your high-school graduation volunteer requirements. Volunteerism is only an optional component of Youth Futures.

  • Where is Youth Futures located?

    Youth Futures’ program days are held at two separate locations to accommodate our large number of youth participants.

  • How do I know my children are safe and attending the program?

    All participants are provided with a mentor tasked with helping your child navigate each component of the program, and ensuring that they stay engaged throughout the 7 months.

    Partnering with Youth Futures can position your organization to help fight poverty in Ottawa, through the enrichment of youth living in low-income neighbourhoods.   • Is Youth Futures a charity? A non-profit?

    Youth Futures is a program, operated by The City of Ottawa, The University of Ottawa (Non-Profit), and the Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) Foundation. The OCH Foundation is a registered charity (816590483RR0001) and acts on behalf of Youth Futures when soliciting funds from donors and granters.

  • How is Youth Futures funded?

    The Youth Futures program is funded, in part by the City of Ottawa’s Housing and Poverty Reduction Investment Plan. Other contributions are provided from the University of Ottawa, private sector donors and in-kind support from community agencies.

  • How do I make a donation?

  • Where does my donation go?

    Every donation goes towards the cost of putting additional youth through Youth Futures.
